Hellen is a recognised African leader in Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE), currently serving as the Group CEO of SMTS. Her leadership reflects a strong commitment to advancing safety standards, compliance, and professional development across the continent.

She is the President of the Africa Safety Congress and Awards (AfriSAFE), the Founder of the Zambia Safety Awards for Excellence (ZASAA), and the face of IOSH Africa, where she continues to champion stronger safety cultures and professional standards across industries.

Under her leadership, SMTS was recognised as the 2025 SADC Service Provider of the Year, reinforcing the organisation’s growing impact in safety training, consultancy, and workforce development across the region.

Through her work, Hellen continues to drive meaningful conversations around workplace safety, leadership, and the empowerment of more women within the HSSE profession across Africa.
